- Hello, Tech$ers,
-
- This letter is to sort of say good-bye. After 4 1/2 years of working in Apple
- Support groups, and 2 1/2 years of supporting MacApp, I'm moving on to work in
- System Software Engineering here at Apple. I've decided that I've dogged the
- footsteps of so many great people for such a long while that it's time for me
- to blaze some trails of my own.
-
- While I'll still be a member of MacApp.Tech$, and still answer questions when I
- can, what this means for this group is a lessened personal presence on my part.
- I'll no longer be working on the MacApp Bugs Technote, will be writing for
- FrameWorks only occassionally (just when they started to pay, too. Damn!), and
- will not be answering MacApp questions sent in to MACDTS.
-
- Taking my place are some very good people in Developer Technical Support. The
- lead supportor will be Bryan Stearns. Bryan was one of the original DTS'ers
- many years ago, and is the author of Technote #1 (among many others). He's left
- DTS a couple of times (once to go work on the Finder for 7.0), but keeps coming
- back. This time, he's getting involved with MacApp.
-
- Also hot and heavy on MacApp is Kent Sandvik. Kent comes to DTS from Apple
- Australia, and knows a lot about MPW, C++, OOD, and MacApp. Most of the more
- heated (read: fun) arguments on MacApp.Tech$ will probably be with him.
-
- Thanks for all the good times, and I hope to see you all at the next MADA
- conference!
